Residence permit for education

Requirements
 

  • Proof of sufficient language skills (B1 for qualified vocational training).
  • Secure livelihood for the entire duration of training.
  • Approval from the Federal Employment Agency is required.
  • Permission to work part-time: Up to 20 hours per week is possible for qualified vocational training.
  • Temporary residence permit, which is based on the duration of the training.


After completing qualified vocational training, a residence permit for job hunting can be granted for up to 18 months.
